Dear Colleagues:
Please find attached two document that will be used at the upcoming
Mid-Year Consultative Group (MYCG) meeting on 4-5 June in Quang Tri. I
would like to extend a special thanks to the Disaster Management Working
Group and the Climate Change Working Group, as well as our colleagues from
Oxfam, the Asia Foundation, CARE, Vietnam Veterans of America
Foundation, ActionAid, Save the Children, International Federation of Red
Cross and others who provided their valuable inputs. These documents will
be used as follows:
(1) INGO Talking Points on Sustainable Poverty Reduction (SPR)
During the morning session our INGO representative will take the floor and
deliver your messages at appropriate moments during the discussion. Please
note that we will include additional comments received today from FHI's
Vietnam Alive & Thrive; and possibly a few messages on War Legacies
from Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (time permitting).
(2) INGO Presentation on Natural Disaster Risk Management (NDRM)
Our INGO representative will deliver most of the messages from this
document, as a part of a joint presentation prepared by the NDRM Donor
Group led by AusAID, Please note that some key messages, based on INGO
community-level engagement, may be incorporated into donors' sections of
the presentation to avoid repetition.
Thank you again for your contribution. Kind regards,
Marko
