Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 1 – 15 January 2010! There has been one change in leadership and a couple of changes in office locations among our members:

Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for November 15-30, 2009! It was great to see many of you at the INGO Forum last week! There were 49 participants from 35 organizations. You can check the minutes of the meeting at the following link:

In addition to Disability Working Group meeting, which is taking place today, there are two other working group meetings coming up in early December: Ethnic Minority Working Group on the 1st December (14:00 hrs) at the NGO RC and Climate Change Working Group on the 3rd December (14:00 hrs). Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for November 1- 15, 2009! We would like to invite you on Friday, 13th November at 14:00 hrs to join the second INGO Forum for 2009. The meeting will take place in the NGO RC conference room, La Thanh Hotel, 218 Doi Can. The agenda will include a brief update of our recent activities; discussion about the upcoming CG meeting; update on new decrees; our latest salary survey report; and the discussion regarding a survey evaluating the last five years of cooperation between PACCOM and INGOs. Farewell Paul and Welcome Louisa!

This month was the last month for Mr. Paul Griffiths as the Information Technology (IT) Advisor at the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre (NGO RC). Paul was recruited through Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and has spent almost two years helping the NGO RC to transition its electronic operations into a whole new era. He has been instrumental in restructuring our IT infrastructure; expanding our resources; improving security; fixing problems; and proposing new ideas. Paul has been a true team player; hard working; innovative; and always supportive of his colleagues. We wish him a safe journey back to the United Kingdom and we miss him already!

Following recent devastations caused by the typhoon Ketsana, which swept through several central provinces of Vietnam, the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM) and VUFO-NGO Resource Centre are seeking your support in providing assistance to the regions affected by the typhoon. A delayed welcome to the NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for September 1 - 15, 2009!

With a holiday season still not over, there has been a slight delay in releasing this edition of the newsletter. There are three Working Group meetings taking place in September 2009: Disaster Management Working Group on 11 September (14:00 hrs); Child Right Working Group on 21 September (14:00 hrs); Disability Working Group on 24 September (14:00 hrs).
