Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 15 - 30 September 2012.

There are three Working Groups' meetings scheduled for the second half of September 2012:

  • Child Rights Working Group (workshop on Child Rights Convention Report) on 18-19 September;
  • Information Communication and Technology Working Group (first meeting) on 19 September at 2:00 PM;
  • Disaster Management Working Group on 21 September at 10:00 AM.

The CRWG workshop is being held at The Youth Guest House (15B Ho Xuan Huong, Hanoi). The two other meetings will take place at the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre in Hanoi. Please check the 'Calendar of Events' section on our home page for the latest updates and possible changes.

Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 01 - 15 September 2012.

The level of INGO activity in central Vietnam has grown recently, and the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre has established a mailing list to allow organisations in central Vietnam, and those interested in the region, to exchange views and ideas. The mailing list will encourage collaboration between NGOs and allow members to disseminate news on training opportunities and social networking.

The mailing list is called ngo-centralvn, and we encourage interested organisations and individuals to subscribe to the new list by going to ngocentre.org.vn/mailman/listinfo/ngo-centralvn.

Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 15 - 31 July 2012.

There are three Working Groups' meetings scheduled for the second half of July 2012:

  • Disability Working Group - core group meeting on 19 July at 2:00 PM;
  • Disaster Management Working Group on 20 July at 2:00 PM
  • Ethnic Minorities Working Group: workshop on cultural diversity and culture conservation on 24 July at 8:00 AM

The first two meetings will take place at the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre. The venue for the EM workshop will be decided and advised later. Please check the 'Calendar of Events' section on our home page for the latest updates and possible changes.

Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 01 - 15 July 2012.

The VUFO-NGO Resource Centre is supporting an initiative to establish a new working group on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for Development. We hope to promote collaboration in different sectors of ICT for development, with a special focus on ICT in education.

Interested organizations and individuals should contact Mr Jef Peeraer from the Flemish Association for Development Cooperation & Technical Assistance (VVOB) at <[email protected]> and copy Ms Phan Thu Ha at <[email protected]> to join this working group. The VUFO-NGO Resource Centre will organize a start-up meeting in late August or early September 2012.

Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 6 - 31 May 2012. We would like to announce several changes amongst the key staff of the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre:

May 2012 was the last month of work for our Administrator Ms. Giang Ngan Ha, who has left the centre to join her husband and family in a posting in Indonesia. As the longest serving staff member of the  VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Ms. Ngan Ha has contributed greatly to our work. We will miss her greatly and we wish her all the best!

Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 1 - 15 May 2012.

We would like to inform you that the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre will be closed on Liberation Day/Reunification Day and International Workers' Day on Monday 30 April and 1 May 2012. We will reopen on Wednesday 2 May 2012.

ChildFund Vietnam Representative Office will officially move to its new office from 2 May 2012. Telephone, facsimile numbers and email addresses remain unchanged.
