REDD Expert
Please be informed that WWF-Vietnam is seeking for a qualified candidate for the position REDD Expert.
The REDD expert delivers designed outputs for the project “REDD Biodiversity Safeguards”. Specifically, he/she will produce a report of impacts of REDD+ on biodiversity conservations with lessons learnt documented. In addition, he/she will design a forest management guideline and tools for reducing biodiversity risks and enhancing the biodiversity benefits of REDD+. He/she will elaborate a training program and deliver training on forest biodiversity conservation to selected representatives of government agencies of these countries in the region.
Key requirements:
- Advanced university degree in one of the following fields: Environmental science, natural resources management, environmental economics, or any other related areas.
- Have at least 10 years of working experiences and extensive knowledge, including a clear track record of successful implementation related to government and non- government programmes and projects on forest management and conservation in the Lower Mekong Region
- Significant experience working on projects and programs across the regions
- Have comprehensive working knowledge and practical experiences in REDD+ mechanisms
- Working experience with institutions or universities/research institutions will be advantageous
