We are looking for committed, result-driven candidate for the position of Project Manager cum. Central Annamite Landscape (CAL) Forest Coordinator, WWF-Viet Nam, based in Hue.
Major Function:
The Project Manager is responsible for overall project management (technical, financial, and administrative aspects) to ensure the project will be effectively implemented to achieve the designed targets. Specific tasks shall include (i) securing the project approval from competent authorities; (ii) maintaining close working relationship with related government agencies at different levels; (iii) working closely with implementing partners to develop the project work plan; (iv) providing technical support to project staff to implement project activities in the field; (v) producing and submitting reports to donor.
For the role as Central Annamite Landscape (CAL) Forest Coordinator, s/he will be responsible for ensuring the cohesion and alignment between WWF-Viet Nam and the broader WWF Network within Forest Practice. Coordination with other teams in the fields of wildlife, sustainable finance, and markets, which link to forest conservation initiatives, is also required.
Requirement:
- Master’s degree in natural resources management, forestry, or other relevant fields
- Excellent knowledge of sustainable forest management, forest policies, forest plantation, and restoration.
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in implementing projects, preferably in forestry or related field.
- Strong knowledge and experience in working with Government officials, NGOs, and local partners.
