Governance Program Officer

The Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific Ltd. (AFAP) was the first Australian NGO to be formally registered to work in Vietnam in 1996. Since then, it has partnered with local government, civil society organizations, and vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in 24 provinces, to implement projects within a range of program areas including: livelihoods and food security; climate change and environment; governance and institutional strengthening; health, water and sanitation; and education and social inclusion.

AFAP Vietnam is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated candidate who is ready to undertake a long-term commitment to the not-for-profit sector, for the position of Governance Program Officer, to commence in mid August 2014. The position is to provide technical assistance on social accountability to program team and local partners to ensure timely and effective project implementation, reporting, donor servicing and activity planning.

Position: Governance Program Officer

Type of contract: One year (extendable)

Work location: Hanoi with travels for the fields

Salary: Annual gross salary ranging from US$12,740 to US$18,130
