The project is split into two phases. Phase 1 will start participant recruitment early 2024 and will evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of different combinations of TB tests. Phase 2 will tentatively start in 2024-Q4 and will be multi-site cluster randomised controlled trial to assess the impact of the best combination of TB tests on time to diagnosis and treatment linkage, as well as socioeconomic outcomes.
In Phase 1, a total of 3,000 participants with suspected TB will be recruited across two provinces (Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City) and three participant populations (Community – Adults, Facility – Adults and Facility – Children).
