Aide et Action (AEA – soon become Action Education) is an international NGO with headquarters in Paris, France. AEA International has been active since 1981 and has projects in 19 countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. With the vision of “Changing the world through education”, AEA uses a lifelong approach to education for vulnerable youth and children. AEA has been working in Vietnam since 2003 and has been implementing projects in seven provinces: Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, and An Giang. AEA's projects focus on three main interventions:
Save the Children (SC) is the leading global independent organization for children. Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. Around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children’s unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.
The "Vietnam Action Against Plastic Pollution" Project (hereby called “the USAID’s VnAAPP Project”) is an innovative and ambitious program designed to reduce ocean plastic pollution at its source in Vietnam through strategic approaches such as convening stakeholders' power, promoting the creation and implementation of data-driven policies, enhancing knowledge sharing, promoting appropriately scaled technology and solutions, and providing technical expertise and capacity building of local governments to manage waste at its source and prevent plastic waste pollution leakages into our oceans.
Organisation: Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights, with a special focus on equality for girls. Plan International has over 80 years experience and works in more than 75 countries across the world. Plan International has been working in northern and central Vietnam since 1993. Our work supports marginalised children and youth, especially adolescent girls, to start life and grow up physically and mentally healthy and as adolescents so they are leading the way to shape their own future. We believe girls have the power to change the world.
