Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SPIR) is a Christian nonprofit organization providing aid to hurting people around the world. With a 23 year history working in Vietnam, SPIR has developed strong relationships with partners to conduct projects in 5 sectors health, education, protection, livelihood and relief.
SPIR Vietnam’s projects are being implemented in Hanoi, Quang Nam, the central province of Vietnam and across the northern provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lai Chau where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups, often the most vulnerable or marginalized sections of the population.
PYXERA Global, a nonprofit based in Washington, DC, will be implementing an international corporate volunteer program in Hanoi, Vietnam. The program is scheduled to take place from April 11 to March 9, 2020 and PYXERA Global is seeking a junior part-time project assistant currently residing in Hanoi to provide interpretation/program support services for the team of corporate volunteers staying in Hanoi.
The selected Project Assistant(s) main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Be responsible for to overseeing sponsorship funded projects’ technical implementation in terms of School Health & Nutrition (SHN) & Adolescents’ Development (AD) (including phase-in and phase-out) in the impact area in Lao Cai Province, ensuring effective implementation, compliance with the Country Office Strategic Plans as well as Sponsorship Global Common Approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but not limited. Other duties that are in line with relevant skills, experience and role may be assigned by Line Manager and SMT’s members.
In collaboration and support Finance Officer and under the supervision of the Senior Finance Officer (Budgeting and Analysis), to help in the financial planning process and the development of needed financial analysis in order to provide relevant financial information for higher level decision making. To back up the function of bank transfer in order to ensure timely payment for the purpose of timely funding disbursement and good BvA .
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
MEAL Officer (MO) is responsible for monitoring and measuring the project’s outputs, outcomes and impacts according to the agreed indicators; facilitating capturing lessons learned in the implementation of project activities; ensuring lessons learned are integrated in project development, contributing in monitoring the accountability mechanism to gather feedback from beneficiaries and partners concerning their views about the project.
SUN Project Coordinator (PC) is the budget holder, to be responsible for overall project planning, implementation, coordination and management of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement Pooled Fund Project in Hanoi and Hai Phong. S/he works under the direct supervision of the Health and Nutrition Program Manager, and in close coordination with donors, SC Members, project team and local partners to ensure timely, effective, efficient and cost-sensitive operations of the project.
The DRR Project Officer is a member of DRR&ER team and primarily responsible for the implementation of the DRR Project in Ca Mau. She/he will assist to ensure that project implementation is consistent with SCI and Members’ programming principles and approaches, draw on good practices and lessons learned, enable children to attain their rights and are compliant with donor regulations.
