The East Meets West Foundation (EMW) is "the foundation for learning,

projects. EMW projects and programs are known for their high quality,
long-term sustainability, emphasis on results, and significant scale. 

 

East Meets West is seeking to fill 1 position with highly qualified
Vietnamese National candidate:

 


1 Program Officer (Based in Quang Ngai) for 


the Support Network for People with Disabilities proram (SNPWD)


 

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

 

1.	Assists the SNPWD National Coordinator in managing the project in
Quang Ngai to ensure efficient implementation and operation of the project
to achieve the set objectives. 
2.	Project planning: successful candidate will support the project
manager in implementing the project approved work plan.
3.	Maintain routine communications and develop and build cooperative
and collaborative relationships with local partners to facilitate the
effective implementation of the program
4.	Report directly and regularly to the SNPWD National Coordinator 
5.	Supervise one Project Assistant to fulfill the work plan
6.	Other assignments upon request 

 

Required Qualifications and Attributes

1.	University degree, preferably in health, education or community
development studies.  
2.	Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience in public health,
social work or community development. Background and professional experience
in working with people with disabilities would be an advantage.
3.	Reasonable management skills, liaison and networking skills, sound
analytical skills 
4.	Professional attitude and diligence
5.	Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
6.	Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and
Vietnamese 
7.	Excellent computer skills
8.	Able to work independently as well as work in a team.
9.	Able to deal with pressure and deadlines and solve problems
10.	Willing to travel and work in rural areas

 

Salary and benefits will be determined based on experience and
qualifications.
