Dear colleagues and friends,

This is invitation to the first INGO Forum in 2011, which will take 
place next Friday 20 May from 14:00 to 16:30 hrs. Please join us at the 
VUFO-NGO Resource Centre. I would appreciate if you confirmed your 
attendance with Ms Ha at <administrator at ngocentre.org.vn> or by calling 
3832-8570. We need to know the final number of participants in order to 
secure big enough venue. At the last meeting our Steering Committee 
agreed to the following agenda:

1. Update on activities, membership and staff at the VUFO-NGO Resource 
Centre
2. Update on INGOs legislation by PACCOM including discussion on INGOs' 
permits procedures
3. Briefing on UN-EU Guidelines for Financing of Local Costs in 
Development Cooperation with Vietnam
4. Discussion and inputs for the informal Mid-Year Consultative Group 
Meeting in Ha Tinh
5. New Steering Committee Member Announcement

Please note that PACCOM agreed to provide an update on INGOs 
legislation; as well as to discuss procedures for issuing / renewing 
INGO permits. Also, we are trying to secure participation of the EU 
delegation's representative to brief INGO members about the ongoing 
review of the UN-EU Guidelines for Financing of Local Costs in 
Development Cooperation with Vietnam.
