While the exact dates of Viet Nam?s review by the Human Rights Committee (CCPR) are not available yet, please note that the Information Note for stakeholder is now public and available online. The Committee welcomes written information from international, regional, national, and local organizations. The information/report must identify the submitting NGO, as anonymous information is not accepted, and be drafted in non-abusive language. The information should not contain names of victims except if related to public cases or if the consent of the victims or their families is obtained. All submissions to the Committee should be: 1. Submitted to the Secretariat in English, French or Spanish. 2. Limited to maximum of 10,000 words. 3. Provided in electronic form in Word or PDF format only. 4. Submitted within the deadline: 26 MAY 2025. 5. Submitted to the CCPR Secretariat: ohchr-ccpr at un.org 6. Indicate whether or not the submission could be published on the CCPR?s website. NGOs, who have provided a written contribution to the Committee, have the possibility of addressing the Committee in private during the session through one or both of these briefings: 1. Formal briefings: (organized for States parties under review only) closed meeting in plenary with interpretation in English, French and Spanish. The briefings are set out in the programme of work and will be conducted in person. There will be no virtual or hybrid participation option available for the formal briefings. To register for the formal briefing, kindly inform the Secretariat by email (cherry.balmaceda at un.org) with copy to the Secretariat?s generic email (ohchr-ccpr at un.org). You will be requested to provide a copy of your statement ahead of the formal briefing to facilitate the work of the interpreters. The registration deadline for the formal briefings is 13 JUNE 2025. 1. Informal briefings: without interpretation, usually organized outside the official meeting time of the session, with participation of some members of the Committee. These meetings are organized by CCPR Centre, an NGO coordinating the participation and collaboration of NGOs with the Committee during the session. The informal briefings are usually offered in hybrid/virtual format. To register for the informal briefing, please contact CCPR Centre (info at ccprcentre.org). Should any member of the Child Rights Working Group want to make a confidential or public submission to the CCPR, they can refer to the enclosed NGOs guidelines by the Centre for Civil and Political Rights (CCPR Centre) and the Information Note for stakeholder available online for some tips and relevant deadlines and procedures.
